Meet Steve Edwards
I was born in the UK and have been living in Ireland for the last 22 years, based in West Cork. I have been an owner operator of busy courier companies, most recently a franchisee for a Nationwide company operating in the West Cork region. I have 4 children, the three eldest were born in the UK and the youngest here in Cork. I have been mad about animals from a child, keeping hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits etc. along with cats and dogs.
We had a marvellous opportunity to relocate to Ireland in 1994 and move to a rural location with room for even more pets! We currently share our space with two dogs, a staffie and a jack russell/ llasa apso cross, seven chickens and a rescued ferret.
All our kids benefit from pet ownerships including tropical snakes and spiders, dogs, chickens, ducks, a three legged cat and a rescued greyhound.
Working with Pet Sitters Ireland gives me the opportunity to work with animals which is a lifelong ambition of mine and to meet with fellow pet owners who have a shared interest in providing a safe environment for their pets. We all like to think that we are providing the finest care tailored to the specific needs of our own pets and I believe, that with Pet Sitters Ireland we can replicate precisely that level of care. We can look after your pets in exactly the way you would, happy in their own home and in the security of their familiar surroundings. It gives me a tremendous feeling of satisfaction to see happy healthy pets awaiting the return of their owners.
Outside of work my interests lie mainly with sport. We have one school age son living at home who plays soccer and cricket in Cork City but plays GAA football and boxes in West Cork. If I have any time left over I enjoy cycling and fishing.
