I entered Romi a former pound dog – she has medical issues and it didn’t look like anyone would adopt her so I decided to keep her. She is an amazing dog – even though she is on pain medication she is a happy girl – the nose of Tralee has allowed me to share the happy character of Romi and show what a strong doggie she is. Now that she is the Carlow representative a lot more people will see her story. My other rescue dog Annie got to the final back in 2015 her ‘From pound dog to princess’ story on the Nose of Tralee made her quite the celebrity – so thank you guys, its been fab.My lovely Romi passed away on 26.7.21 so ill will treasure the memories I had of her during her time as Carlows Nose of Tralee.Erin B.Erin B. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… I entered my dog Heidi in the 2021 Nose of Tralee and it was a really fun and heartwarming experience. I wasn’t expecting the extent of community spirit the competition elicited around our home town and county. Heidi represented Carlow in the final 32 and we both had so much fun taking photos with her sash and campaigning for votes from friends, family and community. I would highly recommend any animal lover getting involved!Louise O D.Louise O D. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… We are so happy to be taking part in this very well run competition. We entered Finn for the Nose of Tralee competition and he was lucky enough to represent Galway for 2021. We are enjoying the competition and the campaigning so much. Kate has been so helpful and is so kind and caring, which makes the competition a lot better.Jessica O B.Jessica O B. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… Mia is representing Cavan in this years Nose of Tralee. I initially discovered the Pet Sitters page on the search for a homely environment to leave our dog when we are getting married. Since we began the competition, its been super exciting and really uplifting in what we all know is a really difficult experience during covid. I’ve loved every minute of it and excited for the final stage of the Nose of Tralee process and I’m really excited to link with Kate about getting Mia to be part of our wedding day but also being happy and content knowing she will also be so well looked after!js_loader

The Nose of Tralee competition is a lot of fun and it's wonderful to see how many people out there adore their pets. Gia came runner up in 2014 and I couldn't have been prouder or more delighted. If you love your pet, this is the competition for you

Shauna and Gia, 2014 Nose Runner-Up

My name is Buster, I’m 11 years young & I’m a Staffordshire bull terrier from county down NI. I won the 2014 Nose of Tralee competition & since doing so I have become a bit of a celebrity, which I thoroughly enjoy as I am a real people pooch. I've even been on TV, the seven o'clock show invited me on their show last summer & me & mummy had an absolute ball, mingling with the show hosts & other fellow celebs. The reason I entered the competition was to try to promote staffies in a positive way, you see there's a lot of bad press about us but none of its true. Anyone that meets me falls in love with my character & they love to hear about my Nose of Tralee journey

Buster, 2014 Nose Winner

The nose of Tralee was a great experience for us as Daisy being chosen to be the limerick nose, it gave us a great opportunity to campaign & represent Bull Breeds. We attended dog shows & store appearances & featured on 2 radio stations & appeared in local newspapers. We also had our campaign poster sponsored by a local business. It was great to see so many people vote & get behind a Pitbull when they are the most misjudged dog breed today. Out of 32 finalists, we were so thrilled to place 3rd with over 3.3k votes. Along the way, we made great friends who we shared our love for our pets & our passion for animals. We can't wait to see the nose of Tralee 2016 competition take off & get behind the new Limerick nose. I'd also like to say a massive thank you to Kate from Pet Sitters Ireland for investing her time into this fantastic competition & setting up a group where we can all stay in touch & get updates on ~ other noses

The Nose of Tralee was such a great experience for us. My Teddy was diagnosed with Epilepsy around the time I entered him so having him picked as our county's Nose was amazing when we were going through such a difficult time. Although we didn't win the overall competition we are just lucky to have been able to take part in it because we met a lot of lovely people and new friends from all over Ireland. Teddy even has sone fans in his county and gets recognised when he's out on walks!

The Nose of Tralee is a fantastic competition celebrating all our favourite pets and is a great opportunity to share our wonderful companions with other people. It's been such a fun experience on the campaign trail and a welcome distraction during these times. All of the other contestants have been so friendly and supportive. Kate from Petsitters Ireland has done an amazing job ensuring everything has run smoothly and that we are all well supported and looked after. It's a great competition and I'd highly recommend it to any pet owner to enter your beloved furrend.

Myself and my dog Hero entered this years Nose of Tralee (2021 Waterford Nose) - the whole process is so exciting and it's so lovely to have something fun to focus on every day! Kate is such an invloved organiser and made me feel so included it's like having a group of friends that bond over their love of animals! I would definitely encourage anyone who's into animals and social media to enter!

Michelle & Hero, Wexford

My dog Dallas is representing Tipperary in the 2021 Nose of Tralee. Since I entered Dallas in the competition we have had nothing other than a joyous experience. In a time where the whole world is struggling as a result of covid 19 to have something so happy to focus on has been fantastic. I cannot thank the organisers of the competition enough. They have been so responsive, so kind and ready to answer any questions throughout the process no matter how ridiculous. Anyone that is considering entering their pet please go for it. You and your furry friend will have a blast! πŸ™‚
