The Nose of Tralee
Can Your Pet Win The First Ever ‘Nose of Tralee’?
The Nose of Tralee is a pet competition with a difference. It is run entirely online and is open to pets of all types throughout the 32 Counties of Ireland. Pet owners are given the chance to enter their pets to represent their county and try to win the overall title of Nose of Tralee.
Kate McQuillan, Managing Director of Pet Sitters Ireland says “The competition has been a huge success and with over 650 entries it really shows the love that people have for their pets.”
With all types of pets entering, the judges, Author Lorna Sixsmith, Photographer David McCauley and Comedienne Tara Flynn, worked extremely hard to select the 32 finalists of the competition.
Once the 32 finalists were selected they all received a Nose of Tralee sash for their pet and were asked to submit a photo and written entry telling us what makes their pet special and why they would make a good Nose of Tralee.
A Public Vote will decide which of the finalists will earn the title of Nose of Tralee.
Voting will start week commencing the 4th August.
The winner of the Nose of Tralee will be announced on Facebook and Twitter on the 19th August, the second and final evening of the annual Rose of Tralee competition.
The first place winner will be crowned the 2014 Nose of Tralee and will receive a special photo session for themselves and their pet with David McAuley Photography.
The second place winner will receive a pet goody hamper worth 250 euro.
