Nose Of Tralee Diary: Winning the Nose Of Tralee!

Hi everyone

Well, it has been a very busy month for me.  I have been to lots of new places and got my picture taken lots of time.  I don’t mind though cos I get to go on new adventures and smell lots of new things in places I haven’t been before so it’s interesting.ginger nose of tralee

So, I won the Nose of Tralee in August.  That’s pretty cool.  Mom is thrilled and everyone is so proud of me.  I’m proud too :-) I had so much fun during the competition.  Everyone knew my name and wanted to get a picture with me.  I made lots of new friends from all over the world and most of them are corgis just like me.

Just after I won the competition I got an ear infection. Mom said it was from rolling around in the grass but that’s not going to stop me cos I love rolling around in the grass.  I had to go to the vet and get some ear drops.  I don’t like going to the vet but he was extra nice this time so I didn’t mind.  Thankfully, it’s all better now.

I got to go to our local park again last week and get my winners photoshoot done.  It was so much fun.  The photographer came all the way down from Dublin to see me and gave me loads of attention.  I got to explore loads of different parts of the park that I’d never seen before.  I was even sitting on a big tree trunk that had fallen down.  I was a bit scared at first but Mom was holding me so it was fine.  Sometimes I didn’t want to sit and get my picture Nose Of Traleetaken so I just strolled around and made everyone wait for me.  (you can do those things when you’re a star like me).  It was a fun day out for me and I can’t wait to see all the cool pictures David took of me.

Another day I got to go on another photoshoot.  This one was in the field across from my house so not much of an adventure.  I had to wear a Christmas hat and wasn’t impressed.  Mom wasn’t happy cos I kept knocking it off.  That photoshoot was for charity and we are going to sell Christmas cards and Calendars to raise money for the rescue centre that saved me so I was happy to help out.  Loads of other dogs got there picture taken too but my picture gets to go on the front page because I’m the Nose of Tralee. :-)  They will be out next month so hopefully I’ll get to show you all.

Oh, before I go I want to tell you about my new toy.  Now, I don’t really like playing with toys but I like this one.  It’s small and doesn’t squeak so it’s not scary like the rest of the toys my brother plays with.  I mind it all the time and put it in hiding so Prince doesn’t take it.  I don’t really play with it, I just like to mind it.

So that’s how the last month has been for me.  Crazy isn’t it?  Mom said I’m going to a dog show in October so I can’t wait to tell you all about that next month.

Thanks for reading guys
