Homemade Tuna Cat Treats: Kitty Nibbles

Homemade Tuna Cat Treats

Tuna is always popular with my cat, in fact he loves any type of fish – especially tinned fish. So these Homemade Tuna Cat Treats sounded like the perfect choice for him. With a full tin if tuna in them, they were sure to hit the spot and be one of his favourites.

Ingredients

1 can of tuna in oil (drained)

1 cup of flour

1 egg

Parsley (optional)

Approx half a cup of water

Instructions

#1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius (fan assisted)

#2. Combine the tuna and egg together in a bowl.

#3. Add the flour and then gradually add the water and combine the mixture into a dough.

#4. Roll the dough onto a floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.

#5. Score into bite sized pieces. Be careful you don’t go all the way through the dough when scoring – just deep enough that when they are cooked you can break the pieces apart.

#6. Place on a greaseproof covered baking tray and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

#7. Leave to cool and then break into pieces and serve.

Verdict

My cat loved these. The tuna was really strong smelling and he enjoyed the taste a lot! Although you could just give your cat a tin of tuna, these treats are so fun and even the dogs enjoyed a little taste!

Definitely worth the effort and the small number of ingredients made them a really quick and easy treat to make.
