5 Things To Do At Home This Easter With Your Pets

#1. Bake Treats

I love baking treats for my pets. Mainly because they are just sooo super excited by the whole process and absolutely love everything I make for them.

Most recipes I have tried have been really easy and if you have kids it’s a great way to get them involved in a fun activity.

Whether you have a cat or a dog then you can make something yummy for them. And if you want to get in on the Easter theme then why not make them in shapes of rabbits or Easter eggs. You can buy lots of cookie cutters off amazon or sometimes Aldi have sets of cutters you can purchase.

#2. Watch Movies

My pets love nothing more than the fire being lit and a relaxed afternoon or evening (they are not fussy what time!) in front of the TV.

Best thing about watching movies with your pets is that you get to choose what you watch!

Some of my favourites include:

  • 101 Dalmatians
  • Hotel For Dogs
  • Marley and Me
  • Beethoven
  • Snow Dogs

#3. Walkies

Getting out into the fresh air is great when you have some spare time. And if you have a dog they are always happy for extra walks – rain or shine!

There are so many beautiful places to walk in Ireland and if you are lucky to live near a Dog Friendly cafe then that’s an added bonus – especially if they serve a nice puppuccino (which I believe all Starbucks do – as well as lots of independent coffee shops)

Check out some of our resources below highlighting great places to take your dog.

#4. Games

Sometimes the weather isn’t suited to outdoor activities so we find ourselves stuck inside. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun and enjoy time with our pets.

There are so many games you can play with your pets around the house that will give them, and you, hours of fun.

Check out some of our resources below highlighting fun games to play with your cat or dog.

#5. Photo Shoot

Do we need an excuse to take another million photos of our pets – probably not!

But Easter is a perfect time to take some Easter themed photos of your pets. That doesn’t necessarily mean dressing them up – but just taking photos to mark the Easter holidays and the time you spent together.

That could be photos of you playing games, out on a walk, watching movies together….whatever you end up doing.

And who knows …they might decide to start their own Instagram account!

And…..BBQ (Weather depending!)

Ok this one is probably a little bit optimistic, but never say never!

It could be dry enough to throw on a fleece and get out and cook a burger for yourself and some sausages for the dogs!

We’d love to know what you are doing this Easter – let us know in the comments below
