We are Firhouse Veterinary Clinic, formally the Old Bawn Veterinary Clinic. We are located at Firhouse Shopping Centre near Super Valu.

2. Tell us about your facility and what services you offer?
We are a modern 100% small animal veterinary hospital. We have three vets and three nurses working in our clinic. We moved to a beautiful new premises in October 2013. We consult and operate on pets every day. In addition, we have an internal laboratory for blood testing, xray and ultrasound facilities and separate cat and dog hospital wards. We also have a boarding facility for cats and a grooming salon, called Hairy Mutts.
3. Tell us about your amazing staff? Why will our pets LOVE them?
Our staff are wonderful! They all have their own pets – and often bring them to work! So they know how worrying it can be if one of them is sick. They look after your pets like they are their own and keep their owners informed every step of the way.
4. What makes you different to other vets in your area?
We try to make sure our clients know and understand exactly what the plan of care is for their pet every time. We always try to address any concerns or questions clients have in relation to pet care- there is a lot of information out there and we understand how confusing it can be for the pet owner.
5. How do you make your clients tails wag like crazy?
Treats, cuddles and reassurance!
6. Do you have any fancy awards that you want to tell us about?
Not yet! We feel the feedback from clients and comments on our Facebook page are praise enough to know we’re doing a good job!
7. What is the ONE thing that your staff love most about taking care of animals?
Our staff get such satisfaction from seeing very sick pets transform into healthy pets as a result of their care. They really get invested in every pet!
