Most mischievous thing you have ever done. I got stoned out of my fluffy head last week after having a quick walk beside the canal. Had to do rehab for three days at Veterinary clinic. They think I ate an illegal substance that was discarded. Oh I raced onto a football pitch to steal a ball from Ballina Football team while they were warming up!
How did you come into your owner’s life? She spotted me on a Rescue page. She was sad after losing her two dogs last summer , Jill (Springer 14yrs) and Meg (Sprollie 14yrs) Apparently she said ‘never again, no more dogs, but she kept an eye on rescue pages and spotted me! I was surrendered because I started to growl at the children when they came into my crate and pulled me out by the ears and tail. Dogs can’t file complaints instead we are surrendered as being dangerous or resource guarding.
What makes you the most pawtastic pet ever? Boundless energy, I love everyone, even kiddies cause I know she who must be obeyed won’t let them hurt me. She tells the kiddies to ‘be gentle’ and I sit calmly and wait for head scratches. I’s happy and kiddies happy. I learned to walk slowly when we are out with Jenny and I love to wake her in morning with loads of slobbery kisses.

Why did you decide to enter the Nose of Tralee? One night , it came across Facebook.
How did you prepare for the contest and get votes? I asked her to set up my own Facebook page and her daughter set up an Instagram page. We spent the whole day in Belleek woods pinning fliers to the trees. I got to meet the Mayo Rose at the Ballina Salmon festival. I’m still waiting to meet ‘Sam’…..someday.
What did you enjoy most about the Nose of Tralee? Interactions on my Facebook page, it went global. People started to recognise me out and about. Checking in each evening to see how the other finalists were doing.
What advice would you give to the next Nose of your County? Start now, build your pages on Instagram Facebook etc. Get media savvy cause there are some challenges to do . I found the reels to be the followers favourite. Try catch your pet doing funny stuff or interactions with people and have your camera at the ready at all times.

How are you handling your newfound fame? It’s fine, but I prefer to just catch buzzie flies.
If you could be any superhero who would you be? I would be The Dandelion Slayer — defender of gardens, wielder of the Sacred Stick. Cape optional.
Where can your fans follows you online? Instagram (Mollyofmayo) Facebook Mayo’s finalist in ‘Nose of Tralee’. Vote Molly.
