Most mischievous thing you have ever done – Einstein is definitely not taking advantage of his wild side enough. One time he had a chance at freedom, after a neighbour mistakenly left the gate open after leaving a parcel behind the shed, however, when I returned home he was waiting impatiently to be let back inside for his afternoon nap. The whole thing was really more of a massive inconvenience to him.
How did you come into your owner’s life? – Einstein came off a farm in Cumbria and travelled to Derry in 2022!
What makes you the most pawtastic pet ever? – This could be a long list. If I had to pick one thing, it’s how he has been the centre holding our family together since his little paw first crossed our doorstep. Through thick and thin, particularly the illness and unfortunate passing of my daddy, he kept us all tightly knit together because we had one thing in common getting us through hardship, and that was loving his little face.
Why did you decide to enter the Nose of Tralee? – we entered Einstein into the Nose of Tralee for the absolute craic! We never imagined he’d get so far as to be a finalist! We have had an absolute blast seeing his wee picture up on socials and honestly that’s all we could’ve hoped for.
How did you prepare for the contest and get votes? – I must say we were very last minute on the vote gathering! But with the help of our local paper and some local businesses kindly displaying posters, we managed to get a small community behind his waggy tail.
What did you enjoy most about the Nose of Tralee? – we have loved seeing the pictures of everybody’s adorable pets and sharing in the love we all have for our beautiful furry companions.
What advice would you give to the next Nose of your County? – just have fun!!! It’s all about creating memories with your pet.
How are you handling your newfound fame? – Einstein could not be any less aware of his fame 🤣🤣 it has been great hearing that we aren’t just biased owners though and that everyone, in fact, thinks he is as gorgeous as we do.
If you could be any superhero who would you be? – Einstein would be Krypto from the Superman universe. He too would burst through walls to catch the tennis ball mid air.
Where can your fans follows you online? – Einstein has a just – for – fun Instagram page under the name Einstein_the_border_collie :)
