Over 1550 pets entered the 2025 Nose of Tralee – and it wasn’t just cats and dogs who entered. We had entries from horses, lizards, birds and even a goat.
Over 50,000 votes decided who the top 3 pets were in each county.
And our judges had the difficult task of selecting the final 32.
The 32 Finalists (27 dogs, 4 cats and a goat) then battled it out on social media, in person, on radio and in their local community to get votes for their Noses.
And now based on 56,000 public votes we get to crown the Nose of Tralee 2025 Winner and Runner Up.
2025 Nose Of Tralee Winner Announced
Meet Your 2025 Nose of Tralee Winner – Mr Cooper from Tipperary
Cooper (Mr.Coops) a 2 year old mini bernedoodle. We lost our beloved dog Scamp 3 years ago. We were devasted and heartbroken as we had him from a puppy and enjoyed 13 amazing years together. He got me through so much in life: dealing with grief. However, we soon met our beloved Mr.Coops!
We got a call from a friend xmas week 2024 to say they knew a family that had a mini bernedoodle. A family member was allergic too him and had to make the decision to get him a new home. They did not want for him to get into the wrong hands and they wanted to know if we would be interested. They knew I was a real kind animal lover. Initially, we weren’t sure we were ready after Scamp. We said it couldn’t hurt to go and see him, so we set off from Tipperary to Malahide in Dublin. Mr.Coops stole our hearts the minute we seen him and we knew he was coming home with us. We truly believe he was sent to us. Mr.Coops has brought so much love back in to our hearts!
It was so heart breaking for that family as they love him so much. It was so emotional and we were all crying. We keep in contact and they get photos and updates. Mr.Coops get his birthday presents from them! Xmas 2024 was onw of the best.
Mr.Coops would make the best nose of tralee because he has the biggest heart and the most adorable smile. He has a lovely temperment and is such a kind fun loving little guy with a cheeky twinkle in his eye. He gives so much love and snuggles. He is our little snuggle monster. We have no kids and he is our baby boy.
Mr.Coops is the luckiest boy in the world. He has 2 families that adore him: one in Tipperary and one in Dublin. We are all so proud of him for making if this far. He will always be a winner in our eyes, as he truly represents what it means to be a pet. His loyalty, unconditional love, and mischevious charm, reminding us daily of the deep bond we share with our beloved animal friends.
He is boss of the house and king of our castle. However, we would not have it any other way.. UP TIPP!!
Meet Your 2025 Nose of Tralee Runner Up – Buddy from Mayo
Buddy is a blind senior rescue cat from Mayo. We adopted him from the North West SPCA Ballina in 2021, after he was abandoned by his former family. He came to us with one eye that had to be surgically removed last year. What he lacks in sight, he makes up for in spirit, love, and a truly impressive nose that has the ability to sniff out treats from a mile away! His disability has never slowed him down. Buddy confidently explores his world, cuddles without hesitation, and inspires everyone who meets him. He is living proof that rescue animals, especially seniors and those with special needs, have so much to give. We love him more than words can say and we’re so proud he’s representing Mayo in the Nose of Tralee.
Buddy is the perfect Nose of Tralee for 2025 because he shows us that what makes us different is what makes us special.
