Meet your Kildare celebrity – the 2025 Kildare Nose of Tralee, Stephanie.
Name – Stephanie
County – Kildare
Age – almost 7
Breed – Domestic Shorthair

Special Skill – using my beautiful face to make people do whatever I want
Favourite food – treats and more treats
Favourite Toy – the noisiest thing at home
Favourite Place to Sleep – I have different favourite places depending on the time of day and night – at night mom’s bed, in the morning – my cat bed on top of my scratcher, at midday – spare human’s bed, in the afternoon – sofa or chair in the kitchen

Favourite Activity – people-watching from the windows
Favourite Place to go for a Walk/Hangout – mom’s lap after work
Most mischievous thing you have ever done – every night, I scratch the sofa (very loudly) to wake mom up, so she’ll move over, and make space for me to lay down beside her.
How did you come into your owner’s life? – My family adopted me from a rescue centre. If it wasn’t for them, I still might have been there without them.

What makes you the most pawtastic pet ever? – I’m a very friendly cat, I love people and cuddles!
Why did you decide to enter the Nose of Tralee? – Because even rescue cats can shine.
How did you prepare for the contest and get votes? – I’m just being myself!
What did you enjoy most about the Nose of Tralee? – The best part was definitely seeing other pets being celebrated across Ireland.

What advice would you give to the next Nose of your County? – Make sure you campaign!
How are you handling your newfound fame? – I’m taking it easy, as befits a self-respecting cat I was famous already!
If you could be any superhero who would you be? – Wander woman!
Where can your fans follow you online? – They can’t, I lead a private life.
