How Did You Come Into Your Owners Life? Got into a fight with the badgers I was trying to evict as part of my job. Had been in the job for 9 years, born into it. Thrown on the scrapheap without a by your leave. Was in a shelter when my furever hooman rescued me & now I am having the kind of pampered retirement I could only have dreamed of.
What Makes You The Most Pawtastic Pet Ever! The way I greet my hooman when she comes home from work, I’m as excited as a pup and I offer her a variety of items from the living room floor to show her how much I love her – toys, my bed, even a rather large rug has been dragged across the floor and presented proudly to her! My love for life and refusal to get jaded despite my advancing years
Why Did You Decide To Enter The Nose Of Tralee? The first year, my hooman had just had photos done of us and thought I was the most gorgeous, adorable creature ever (she’s not wrong) & wanted to share that with the world. The second year, she realised we could re-enter & decided to relive all the fun. So we did
How Did You Prepare For The Contest And Get Votes? We sent a press release out to the local papers. Last year that resulted in an interview on Radio Ulster, which was great craic! Mammy loves the old social media so she updated her accounts almost daily across many platforms in a bid for votes. We even ventured on to TikTok, which I’m sure Mammy had swore she was too old for, now she’s always got her phone stuck in my fizzog!
What Did You Enjoy Most About The Nose Of Tralee? All the fuss & attention, getting to travel to lovely photogenic parts of the county
What Advice Would You Give To The Next Nose Of Your County? Relax & enjoy it. Once you’ve decided to enter, build up a collection of beautiful photos so you have something to post every day. Build up a following on FB, Insta, TikTok etc, so you have a core voting base willing to vote every day
How Are You Handling Your New-Found Fame? In my usual calm unfazed manner
